{"id":771048,"date":"2019-04-05T13:21:02","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T10:21:02","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2019-04-05T13:23:04","modified_gmt":"2019-04-05T10:23:04","slug":"cms-otrymuye-sim-nagorod-na-tseremoniyi-ugoda-roku-2018-vid-vydannya-cee-legal-matters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/cms-otrymuye-sim-nagorod-na-tseremoniyi-ugoda-roku-2018-vid-vydannya-cee-legal-matters\/","title":{"rendered":"CMS wins seven gongs at 2018 CEE Legal Matters Deal of the Year Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CMS has been recognised as a winner in seven categories, including CEE Deal of the Year, at the 2018 CEE Legal Matters Deal of the Year Awards, held in Budapest.<\/p>\n<p>In recognition of our work across multiple CMS offices and jurisdictions, the firm was awarded for advising on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advent International\u2019s \u20ac1.9bn acquisition of Zentiva (awarded CEE as well as Czech Republic Deal of the Year);<\/li>\n<li>OTP Bank Group on its \u20ac600m acquisition of Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale subsidiaries SG Expressbank Group, Sogelife Insurance Company, and SG Banka Albania;<\/li>\n<li>Vodafone\u2019s \u20ac18.4bn acquisition of Liberty Global\u2019s Operations in Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Romania;<\/li>\n<li>EBRD and private equity firms AB Invalda INVL and Horizon Capital on the acquisition of a stake in of Moldova Agroindbank, the largest commercial bank in Moldova.<\/li>\n<li>The privatisation of Belgrade\u2019s Nikola Tesla International Airport; and<\/li>\n<li>The ArcelorMittal Zenica, City of Zenica, KPA Unicon Oy and Finnfund joint venture to implement a new CHP plant in Bosnia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now in its second year, the CEE Legal Matters Deal of the Year Awards recognise the most important transactions in CEE across the year. The awards are exclusively peer-selected, with partners from across international and domestic law firms in all relevant jurisdictions being involved in selecting the shortlist and voting for the winners.<\/p>\n<p>CMS Partners <strong>Graham Conlon<\/strong> and <strong>Eva Talmacsi<\/strong> were present to receive the awards. <strong>Graham Conlon<\/strong> commented: \u201c<em>We are proud and honoured that the lawyers who vote on the various submissions recognised the value and complexity of the deals we were able to bring to completion in 2018.
