Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm defends agro-industrial group Rostok-Holding from unlawful blocking of all its enterprises located in Kyiv City, Sumy and Chernihiv Regions by the law enforcement officers.<\/p>\n
On 8\u00a0October\u00a02018 the law enforcement officers of Kharkiv Region simultaneously broke into 16\u00a0enterprises, giving approximately 2000 work places in regions where they are located. Based on the decision delivered by Kharkiv District Court in Kharkiv Region (Pokotylivka Village) in criminal proceedings initiated by the former business partner of the shareholder of Rostok-Holding, the law enforcement officers prevent harvesting and block shipments of finished products, thereby completely paralyzing the company\u2019s operations. The activity of all group\u2019s elevators is blocked. Based on the estimates of Rostok-Holding, the potential losses due to late harvest may reach USD 50 mln.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe situation with Rostok-Holding looks like a typical attempt to destroy a huge agricultural company,<\/em> \u2013 said Mikhail Ilyashev<\/strong>, the Attorney at Law and Managing Partner of Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, who defends interests of Rostok-Holding. \u2013 Criminal proceedings legalizing the actual attempt to seize the holding\u2019s enterprises are conducted in Kharkiv Region, and all sanctions for all investigative actions are issued by Kharkiv District Court in Kharkiv Region, and this is despite the fact that not a single enterprise of the holding is located there, and the holding has nothing to do with this region in general\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cROSTOK-HOLDING\u201d<\/strong> is a vertically integrated agro-industrial group specializing in the cultivation and sale of crops, production and sale of milk. The total area of soil under group\u2019s management amounts to approximately 60 thousand hectares. The group also incorporates 5 cattle breeding farms, 3 elevators and a number of trading companies. According to the Landlord magazine, the group is among the top 10 most effective agricultural companies in Ukraine.
