{"id":770307,"date":"2018-09-19T13:14:23","date_gmt":"2018-09-19T10:14:23","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2018-09-20T11:03:32","modified_gmt":"2018-09-20T08:03:32","slug":"pershe-doslidzhennya-koruptsiyi-v-regioni-yevropy-kavkazu-ta-aziyi-provedene-globalnoyu-yurydychnoyu-firmoyu-miller-chevalier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/pershe-doslidzhennya-koruptsiyi-v-regioni-yevropy-kavkazu-ta-aziyi-provedene-globalnoyu-yurydychnoyu-firmoyu-miller-chevalier\/","title":{"rendered":"The report on 2018 Europe-Caucasus-Asia Corruption Survey is out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The survey was conducted by Miller &amp; Chevalier Chartered law firm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Arzinger supported this anti-corruption initiative and became an exclusive partner to Miller &amp; Chevalier in conducting the survey in Ukraine which helped to receive unique insights into corruption risks and mitigation strategies.<\/p>\n<p>This corruption study was conducted in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and Estonia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key findings on the situation in Ukraine<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>91% of respondents in Ukraine consider corruption a serious challenge for business in the country;<\/li>\n<li>only 5% of respondents believe that the country&#8217;s anti-corruption legislation is effective;<\/li>\n<li>52% say their companies likely lost business because a competitor paid a bribe, and 72% of respondents say that they have been approached or know someone who has been approached with a request to bribe to a government official;<\/li>\n<li>estimating possible ways of reducing the level of corruption, respondents most often referred to the reform of criminal justice.
