On 30 May, 2018 the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office with its member-companies met JSC \u201cUkrzaliznytsia\u201d management within UZ: Investor\u00a0Day\u00a02018<\/strong>. The main topic became the prospects of long-term investments in the rail transport & investment directions.<\/p>\n

Yevhen Kravtsov<\/strong>, an acting chairman of the Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsya”, opened the meeting. During the speech, he highlighted the potential for investing in JSC UZ, showing the gap between the needed investments and their actual volumes. “There are various mechanisms for attracting funds and Ukrzaliznytsya considers one of them to be a financial lease. It will respond to the needs of shippers in a rolling stock and maintain the position of UZ in the transportation market”<\/em> – said Mr Kravtsov.<\/p>\n

Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine on European Integration issues Mr Victor Dovgan<\/strong>, \u00a0Co-Chairman of the EBA Customs Committee in Kyiv and Chairman of the EBA Odesa Coordination Council Mr\u00a0Oleksandr Lazarev<\/strong>, Managing Director of Dragon Capital Mr Andrii Bespyatov<\/strong> and others became speakers and moderators of the conference.<\/p>\n

Attracting private investment into traction rolling stock and freight wagons, implementing infrastructure reconstruction projects and further developing terminal complexes became the subjects to panel discussions.
