EBA and BRDO discuss implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation

Listen to online Stop   Members of the European Business Association’s Grain and Oilseed Committee held a meeting with representatives of the Agriculture Sector of the Better Regulation Delivery Office (BRDO). The parties discussed the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), particularly with regard to exports of soybeans and soy-based products. We are sincerely grateful to our colleagues at BRDO for the constructive dialogue. For reference: On 17 December, the European Parliament, and on 18 December, the Council of the EU, formally approved a new Regulation revising certain obligations of market operators under the EUDR and postponing the date of its application. The revised EUDR entered into force on 26 December 2025. EBA experts welcome the postponement of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
