The EBA brought together lobbying market participants at the Annual Lobbying Gathering

  On 1 December, the European Business Association held its traditional annual event for lobbyists, GR professionals, business leaders, and representatives of public authorities. During the EBA Lobbying Gathering, participants from the lobbying market had the opportunity to reflect on the past year, discuss the new regulation of the industry, and strengthen professional ties. On 1 September 2025, Ukraine’s new Law “On Lobbying” came into force, so attendees exchanged experiences of working under the updated rules and shared their assessments of market changes. “Lobbying is…” Andrii Fita. To adapt to the new conditions, any company can join the Lobbying Committee. Within the committee’s work, GR specialists will be able to get answers to any questions related to the Law on Lobbying. Which topics will be key for the lobbying community in 2026? Felix Zinchenko. DTEK. I believe that the lobbying community’s agenda cannot be separated from the country’s key issues. Today, if we speak not only about martial law and the war, but also about the economy and its recovery, then the main lobbying agenda will be directly linked to the reconstruction of the state. How do you see the role of civil society in shaping a culture of integrity-based lobbying? Stanislav Hryshyn. General Chereshnia. Civil society is the driver of quality lobbying. When business creates value for society, civil society organisations are ready to stand up for it in the public space. In addition, during the event, the EBA announced the new companies joining the EBA’s “Investment Leaders” project – a list recognising businesses that continue to make major investments after Russia’s full-scale invasion. The EBA is grateful to the event partners – DTEK, Arzinger, JTI Ukraine, and General Chereshnia – for supporting the event, and to all speakers and attendees for the warm atmosphere.
