The ЕВА announces the launch of the Defence Technologies Subcommittee

17/ 10/ 2025
The European Business Association’s Business Security and Protection Committee announces the launch of the Defence Technologies Subcommittee, a specialised platform for discussing initiatives, challenges, and solutions aimed at developing the defence tech industry. The Subcommittee brings together companies that manufacture military products, such as defence technologies, personal protective equipment, and electronic warfare systems, as well as businesses providing services or solutions to support and strengthen the defence-industrial sector. The Committee’s activities will focus on building effective cooperation between business, government authorities, and international partners; developing joint initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian defence companies; and creating a platform for exchanging experience, technologies, and innovative solutions. Key areas of the Subcommittee’s work: Lobbying – representing the interests of defence industry companies and establishing stable, predictable regulatory conditions for business development. Export policy – developing a concept for balanced (limited) export of goods and services in the sector, aligned with national security interests. Access to finance – expanding opportunities for attracting investment and building partnerships in B2B, B2C, and B2G formats. Legislation and intellectual property – preparing legislative proposals aimed at industry development and ensuring adequate protection of intellectual property rights. Codification of weapons and equipment – contributing to the improvement of procedures for registration, certification, and implementation of new types of weapons and military equipment. Subcommittee Board: Chair – Stanislav Hryshyn, General Chereshnіa Deputy Chair – Pavlo Razdobarov, Kharkiv Plant of Personal Protective Equipment Svitlana Mykhailovska. Deputy Director for Advocacy, European Business Association. Ukraine′s defence tech industry is developing rapidly, so establishing a platform within the EBA to coordinate the actions of companies in this field is a logical step. We believe that this initiative will support the development of the defence technology industry, strengthen our country′s defence capabilities, and enhance collective security and international cooperation in this sphere. Stanislav Hryshyn. Co-Founder and Director of Strategic Development, ″General Chereshnia″. The European Business Association is one of the best and most effective communities for Ukrainian entrepreneurs. We see that this platform enables us to be heard, to form a joint position and defend business interests. Therefore, it is particularly meaningful for me to become the Chair of the Defence Technologies Subcommittee. This committee will help defence tech companies further shape what is still a young but very important industry. I am grateful to the EBA for its trust and this opportunity. Companies interested in joining the Defence Technologies Subcommittee are welcome to get involved. Contact person: Anton Basystyi – [email protected]
