The ЕВА discussed opportunities to support the forestry sector with European partners

On 15 October, the European Business Association took part in a roundtable discussion on “Climate Finance, EU Harmonisation, and Support for Ukraine’s Forestry Sector”, organised by the World Bank. The event gathered representatives from business, government institutions, and European partners. Key topics discussed during the meeting included: Consultations on the findings and recommendations of the report “Opportunities for Climate Finance and Carbon Pricing in Ukraine’s Forestry Sector”; The technical assistance project “Support for Forest Management in Ukraine, EU Harmonisation, and Strengthening Climate Change Mitigation Measures.” As a result of the meeting, the organisers invited representatives of business, government bodies, and other stakeholders to review the report “Opportunities for Climate Finance and Carbon Pricing in Ukraine’s Forestry Sector” and provide their feedback and suggestions. The EBA appreciates the opportunity to contribute to this discussion and will continue working with partners to support the development of Ukraine’s forestry sector.
