EBA representatives joined a meeting with the Prosecutor General of Ukraine

22/ 08/ 2025
Natalia Artemchuk, Manager of the Tax and Customs Committees of the European Business Association, and Anton Basystyi, Manager of the EBA’s Committees, took part in a meeting with the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko, organised by the Ukrainian Business Council. The EBA was also represented by Viktor Duma, Asters, a member of the Business Security and Protection Committee. Ruslan Kravchenko shared the results of the Prosecutor General’s Office over the past one and a half months. In particular, an audit of criminal proceedings against businesses was carried out, the number of which exceeded 22,000. Nearly 8,000 cases have already been closed, while the rest are under detailed review: additional expert examinations are being appointed, and long-standing cases are undergoing comprehensive examination. The key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the digital platform #STOP_PRESSURE. This resource will allow businesses to report cases of unlawful pressure from law enforcement agencies, such as: violations during searches; unjustified application of criminal proceedings; delays in pre-trial investigations; demands for undue benefits, etc. Using the platform will be simple and convenient: users will need to log in via Diia, provide a detailed description of the problem, and attach the necessary evidence of pressure. The full launch of the platform is scheduled in the near future. The business community will be additionally informed, so please stay tuned for announcements from the Prosecutor General’s Office. The European Business Association expresses its gratitude to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and his team for their openness, constructive dialogue, and commitment to ensuring transparent conditions for business free from unlawful pressure, as well as for their efforts to combat factors negatively affecting the country’s investment climate.
