EBA welcomes the Government’s decision on 100% employees reservation in frontline areas

21/ 08/ 2025
The European Business Association welcomes the adoption of Government Resolution No. 991, which enables critically important enterprises in frontline regions to reserve 100% of their employees. The EBA has repeatedly stressed the importance of supporting businesses that continue operating under heightened security risks. Back in March this year, the Committee on Ukraine’s Recovery, together with EBA’s regional offices in Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Odesa, submitted a comprehensive package of proposals to the Government, Parliament, and the Office of the President on supporting businesses in frontline regions. Among these proposals was a request to grant critically important enterprises in frontline areas the ability to reserve 100% of their staff. To promote these initiatives, the European Business Association organised a series of meetings and discussions with representatives of national and local authorities and presented its proposals during conferences in Dnipro and Rome. The business community expresses its gratitude to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for adopting Resolution No. 991 and looks forward to further fruitful cooperation to implement other community proposals in support of frontline regions. Businesses in these areas require greater attention and assistance to ensure their continued operation.
