Sourcing IT services from Ukraine in wartime: status report and practical tips

  Even in the face of a military invasion, Ukraines IT sector remains remarkably robust. Both IT firms and independent consultants have continued their exports, offering services such as software development, IT-monitoring, and various Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. Thommessen warmly welcomes you to this important and interesting hybrid breakfast seminar. Key insights will be shared by: Olena Berestetska, from the IT Ukraine Association, bringing us up-to-date on the current state of the Ukrainian IT landscape. Jon Erik Høgberg, CEO of Itera Norge and COO of the Itera Group, reflecting on Iteras on-ground experience in Ukraine since 2008 and will share experience of contractual concerns to source IT services from Ukraine. Julia Semeniy of Asters law firm in Kyiv and Thommessens own Nikolai Rekman will give us an overview on essential data protection and intellectual property. This will offer crucial guideance for those contemplating IT-related contracts with Ukrainian providers. The session will culminate in a panel discussion featuring all our speakers.
