Business and government are inviting for discussion on environmental and climate protection in wartime

02/ 10/ 2022
Seven months of war fuelled by russian aggression have led to irreparable damage to Ukraine. Humanitarian, economic, and environmental crises will have catastrophic consequences for the future of our country for many years to come. Meanwhile, regardless of wartime difficulties, businesses continue their activities in Ukraine and from the very beginning of the invasion, they have united and focused on helping the state and people. Moreover, a large number of companies are determined to continue projects aimed at decarbonization and sustainable development in general. Companies operating in Ukraine still consider pursuing the course towards eurointegration, including in environmental and climate protection, and deepening Ukraines integration into the EU market to be a priority. We will talk about how Ukraine can continue European environmental reforms in turbulent economic conditions during the round table Environmental deregulation during war and reforms for eurointegration, which will be held on October 10 at 10:00 on the platform of the EBA Committee for Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Development. REGISTRATION At the event, the updated White Paper of the European Business Association Deregulation of environmental legislation during the war and reforms for eurointegration will be presented. The document will highlight the role of the business community in fostering urgent and progressive changes in Ukraines environmental policy. Besides, government and business representatives will exchange visions on the practical side of implementing eurointegration obligations regarding the environment and climate within the framework of sustainable post-war reconstruction, as well as discuss the possibilities of deregulation, which is extremely important for the survival of business while the war rages on. You can join the event online.
