1C is officially banned in Ukraine — what should companies do with Mass Balance under ISCC / RED III?

15/ 01/ 2026
1C is officially banned in Ukraine, but ISCC and RED III requirements for Mass Balance, traceability, and CO₂ emissions reporting remain in place and are becoming increasingly strict. Many companies that undergo certification audits follow a similar approach: Mass Balance is “managed” through 1C, part of the data is kept in Excel, supplier self-declarations and supporting documentation are stored separately, and CO₂ emissions calculation data is maintained in yet another file. As a result, everything has to be manually consolidated right before the audit. Important note: replacing 1C with SAP or another accounting/ERP system does not automatically solve the Mass Balance challenge, because such systems typically: do not reflect the logic of certified vs. non-certified product flows; do not support Mass Balance according to certification standards without custom manual configuration; do not link CO₂ emissions data to each individual batch; do not automate internal audits and supplier verification; do not support generating POS and SD documents for export. This is exactly why Crosscheck AI Internal Auditor was created. We do not replace accounting systems, but we cover the certification layer that is critical for passing sustainability audits. Crosscheck AI Internal Auditor helps quality managers and internal auditors to: automate internal audits; control Mass Balance and certified product flows; automatically verify suppliers and their documentation; monitor and validate CO₂ emissions calculations; prepare for audits in days instead of months. If you have been using 1C for Mass Balance or for tracking certified products, we will be happy to help you set up an updated system. 📩 Contact: [email protected] 📞 Phone: +380969148881
