How to Plan Projects Using Results-Based Management

  A new free course, “Management That Delivers Results,” has launched on the Zrozumilo! online learning platform. It will teach you how to work with indicators and focus on real change. In today’s world, where organizations operate in an environment of constant change, effectiveness is measured not by the number of activities but by how much they truly improve the lives of the people they serve. That’s why Results-Based Management (RBM) is becoming a key competency for the public sector, government institutions, and development programs. The course “Management That Delivers Results” is designed to help managers move from intuitive planning to a systematic approach that provides a complete picture – from identifying problems and beneficiaries to understanding the logic of change, indicators, and actual results. You’ll learn how to set clear goals, build logical project models, anticipate risks, monitor progress, and assess whether your organization’s work is creating real impact. The course offers clear explanations, practical tools, examples, and visual materials that you can immediately apply in your daily work. Instructor: Solomiia Borshosh, an expert in institutional strategies and programs with social impact. Who Is This Course For? For leaders and managers of CSOs, staff of international development programs, civil servants, and anyone involved in planning and implementing projects with social impact – from beginners to experienced professionals. Course Structure Eight short lectures covering all RBM elements step by step – from beneficiary analysis to working with indicators and applying RBM in team management: Introduction to Results-Based Management (RBM) Beneficiary and Problem Analysis Theory of Change – The Cause-and-Effect Logic of Actions Logical Project Model Assumptions and Risks Monitoring and Evaluation Functions Indicators and Data Collection Methods RBM in People Management Like all courses on the Zrozumilo! platform, this one is free. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certificate worth 0.2 ECTS credits (six academic hours), which counts as self-education. The online course “Management That Delivers Results” was developed within the Impulse Project, implemented by East Europe Foundation and the International Renaissance Foundation with support from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), in partnership with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
