Interest in Ukraine: Japanese business meets local leaders

08/ 07/ 2025
🎌 The second day of the Japanese business mission to Lviv was dedicated to discovering the city’s economic potential and meeting the companies that are already shaping the local economy, infrastructure, and innovation landscape. The delegation included representatives of 10 Japanese companies working in logistics, construction, IT, hydrogen and agri-technologies, biotechnology, and consulting. Among them — Iwatani Corporation, Scan Global Logistics, Cognano Inc., Padeco Co., Ltd., Daiwatech, Wrexiv Inc., Greein Inc., Hokkan Sake Brewing, Esplanadia, and Tagawa Shikkui Labs. Throughout the day, the delegation: visited Fujikura Automotive Ukraine — a Japanese company successfully operating in Lviv since 2016 explored Enzym Group and Kormotech — local businesses with strong export presence and in-house R&D met with Onur Group Ukraine — one of the city’s largest infrastructure investors toured the Formatsia and Sparrow Park Lviv industrial parks visited Lviv IT Cluster — the largest IT ecosystem in Ukraine learned about UNBROKEN — a comprehensive recovery ecosystem for Ukrainians affected by the war The mission clearly showed that Japanese companies are approaching Ukraine with serious intent: they are not just exploring — they are actively seeking local partners, evaluating production sites, and studying real investment cases. We are grateful to our member companies for their openness, strong presentations, and constructive engagement. We appreciate our Japanese partners for their structured approach, attention to detail, and commitment to building partnerships — even in times of uncertainty. 🤝 Our shared goal is recovery, modernization, and the creation of new opportunities for business and people. And every such visit brings us one step closer to lasting cooperation.
