According to Oleksandr, Head of IT Infrastructure Development at PARKOVY Data Center, a data center is like a “power hub.” Its Tier A infrastructure provides a secure environment for both government and private sector clients.  However, as data volumes grow, so do the risks.  The team works daily to protect the network infrastructure from the growing number of cyber threats targeting both customer services and internal systems. In response to modern cyber threats, PARKOVY decided to strengthen its security by implementing CyberArk’s Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution. Now the data center focuses on developing services and adopting technologies that really help defend against cyber incidents and ensure the stability and security of our customers’ IT infrastructure.    Technology choice. To improve security, the team conducted a detailed market analysis and selected CyberArk. They were introduced to CyberArk products through the distributor BAKOTECH. The main arguments in favor of CyberArk were the companys reputation, adaptability of the solution to complex infrastructure, and the ability to scale gradually, which allows for a gradual and logical expansion of functionality in accordance with the needs of the data center.  Implemented solutions: Privilege Access Manager. This tool gives full control over privileged sessions and protects critical identities by securely storing passwords. It allows monitoring and controlling all privileged sessions, protects accounts from being compromised, and provides a safe password vault.   Vendor Privileged Access Manager. This tool allows secure contractor access without using VPN. It controls who has access, when, and to which systems, and records all sessions for full transparency. Vendor Privileged Access Manager helps automate third-party access control and applies the principle of least privilege, minimizing risks. It also logs and records contractor sessions to ensure transparency.  Implementation . The CyberArk solution had to be carefully adapted to the unique architecture of the data center. The main goal was to ensure the high availability of critical components, minimize downtime risks, and keep the data center running even in crisis situations. This goal was logical given the projects requirements. With strong vendor support, the team was able to integrate additional solution components quickly.  A major advantage was CyberArk’s modular platform, which allowed the PARKOVY team to gradually expand functionality without losing system stability and at the same time use the platforms existing capabilities.  “The results met our expectations. CyberArk has proven its effectiveness in real-world conditions,” emphasizes Oleksandr. “CyberArk not only protected our infrastructure but also made our services safer for customers. We are now confident that privileged access is properly controlled,” said Oleksandr.  Next steps .
