“Intersport — For the Children of Heroes”: Prominent Ukrainian Athletes Participate in Event Held in Vinnytsia

31/ 03/ 2025
On March 27th, Vinnytsia hosted another event within the framework of the charitable project Intersport - For the Children of Heroes, organized by Epicentr K and Intersport in partnership with the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and the Children of Heroes Charity Fund. The event brought together 60 beneficiaries of the Fund and legendary Ukrainian athletes, including: Serhiy Cherniavskyi — Olympic silver medalist in Sydney (cycling); Hanna Balabanova — Olympic bronze medalist in Athens (canoe sprint); Dmytro Danylenko — participant in the Paris Olympic Games (canoe sprint); Vadym Adamchuk — participant in the 1st Youth Olympic Games. The event program featured master classes, sports relays, Olympic quizzes, and acrobat performances. Each activity gave the children a sense of joy, support, and confidence in their abilities. For our beneficiaries, such events are an opportunity to return to a carefree childhood, even if it is just for a day. Sport not only promotes physical development but also supports mental health, which is extremely important for children who have experienced loss. We are grateful to our partners for their cooperation and support of our children, said Tetiana Novytska, CEO of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund. The Fund continues to implement initiatives aimed at the social adaptation and support of children who have lost loved ones due to the war. Thanks to partnerships with responsible businesses and sports organizations, children receive the necessary resources for physical, emotional, and psychological development.
