ELEKS sponsored an AI laboratory at Lviv University

03/ 03/ 2023
The AIT Research & Learning HUB of artificial intelligence technologies was launched on 28 February at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with the support of ELEKS and the Lviv Regional State Administration (LODA). This hub will allow students and young IT professionals to develop their skills by participating in projects and research in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and gain practical experience. Supporting the laboratory is an important and timely decision for ELEKS. Supporting talented young people in the IT field involves implementing various projects, such as dual education, participation of our specialists as mentors, lecturers, and experts in events for students, says Oleksandra Mokiy, Head of the Learning and Development Office at ELEKS. Oleksandra also explains that the company has been actively cooperating with Ivan Franko National University with the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Technologies over the past three years. Cooperation is based on a desire to share practical knowledge, disseminate the companys values, and promote the growth of students who will become professional specialists. Representatives of Ivan Franko National University note that they plan to hold traditional courses here: AITSS Summer School (Artificial Intelligence Technology Summer School) and DES Winter School (Data Engineering and Security). The AIT Research Learning Hub will be the place where students can implement their projects while receiving mentoring support from experienced professionals. The hub will also become a platform for dialogue and discussion of issues related to the IT industry in the Lviv region, explains Vitaliy Kukharskyy, Vice-Rector for Research, Teaching, and IT-Development at the Lviv National University. The Vice-Rector also notes that specialists from ELEKS are involved in teaching modern, important IT specialties that are practically oriented, both within traditional educational programs and additional joint events in the field of information technology.
