  Author: Oleksandr Fedorko, Attorney at Dynasty Law & Investment The struggle of Ukraine for its freedom and independence continues from the day of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation until now, and it is already 209 calendar days that the Ukrainian defenders are giving a worthy rebuff to the invaders. We would like to remind you that martial law and mobilization in Ukraine were declared by Decrees of the President of Ukraine No. 64/2022 and No. 69/2022 of 24.02.2022. However, since the armed aggression against our country by the Russian army continues, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at its plenary session on 15.08.2022 adopted a number of legal documents, including the Law of Ukraine On Approving the Decree of the President of Ukraine On Extending the Term of Martial Law in Ukraine No. 2500-IX dated 15.08.22 and the Law of Ukraine On Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine On Extending the Period of General Mobilization No. 2501-IX dated 15.08.22, which extended martial law and mobilization for another 90 days (until November 21). According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, the implementation of the specified acts will help to take adequate measures aimed at repelling the armed aggression of the occupiers against our state.
